The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) was established on October 11, 1890. On May 8, 1893, Roger Sherman was the ninth chapter chartered in the State of Connecticut. This chapter serves the New Milford area and is one of 42 chapters currently in the state.

Current membership includes women in New Milford, CT, as well as additional members from fourteen states. We are enthusiastic women volunteering proudly to serve God, Home, and Country.  We have over 80 members among the 190,000 members worldwide that believe in serving our veterans and active military personnel, participating in historic preservation, and supporting education programs throughout the year.
